Key ACTCOSS Documents

ACTCOSS is governed using a number of key documents that outline our role, strategic direction and processes. These documents help shape our work, keep us democratic and responsive to our members and stakeholders, and ensure we stay on track.

ACTCOSS Constitution

The Constitution provides the legal framework and processes that govern ACTCOSS as an incorporated entity under the Associations Incorporation Act 1991. It includes our objectives as an organisation, our membership eligibility and processes, and our accountability and democratic institutions.

Strategic Plan

The ACTCOSS Strategic Plan outlines our vision, purpose and values. It also contains our goals and strategic priorities, the key elements for success, and our understanding of our challenges for the future.

Annual Reports

The ACTCOSS Annual Report is our record of our achievements each year. The Annual Report contains an overview of the major issues addressed in each financial year, and a list of key publications, networks, seminars and events the organisations has completed. Due to timing and audit issues, the annual financial reports are published separately. For a copy of these, please contact us.

Reconciliation

ACTCOSS Reconciliation Action Plan 2010-2013

Our vision for a reconciled Australia is of a nation where all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples enjoy the same quality of life as other Australians. The ACTCOSS Reconciliation Action Plan sets out specific actions ACTCOSS is committed to achieving during 2010-2013 to contribute to this vision of a reconciled Australia. ACTCOSS is committed to progressing reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-indigenous Australians. Our Pledge for Reconciliation and Justice sets out our commitments to achieving this aim.

The Social Compact

In 2004, the ACT Government launched the ACT Social Compact. The Compact is a statement of understanding about the relationship between the ACT Government and the community sector.
