Sector Development

The ACTCOSS Sector Development Project has now been running since 1999. The work of the Sector Development team is supported by some funding from the government. The objective of the project is to strengthen and support an effective, cohesive and dynamic community sector in the ACT, and to assist the sector to meet the challenges of reform and changing community need through development assistance, networking, resources and training.

What does the Sector Development team do?

Sector Development offers a range of resources and services to all ACT community-sector organisations, including one-on-one consultancy, seminars, development projects and a small resource library. Most Sector Development services are free and all information is kept confidential.

Who can access Sector Development services?

Any agency from any part of the community sector can seek assistance and advice from Sector Development. You do not have to be a member of ACTCOSS to make use of Sector Development services, and we welcome groups that currently receive little or no government funding.

What can Sector Development offer you?

Sector Development can offer advice, resources and information on a range of issues relevant to community sector organisations.
