In support of the next steps for the Industry Plan, ACTCOSS is commissioning the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC) at the University of New South Wales to conduct an ACT State of the Community Sector Survey.
SPRC has undertaken surveys in New South Wales and Tasmania, and will be tailoring the survey to the ACT context. The survey aims to address the need to better understand the state of the sector as part of the Industry Plan process.
The survey is scheduled to be released in August 2016, with a report to be released later in the year.
ACTCOSS will be encouraging all organisations from across the ACT community sector to participate in the survey to help inform decisions about how best to invest funds from the 0.34% levy to support sector development. The survey will also help identify key characteristics of the sector, the sector’s contribution to the ACT, and the issues and challenges faced by different parts of the sector.
