ACTCOSS and the Gulanga Program, is pleased to be hosting a Cultural Awareness Workshop with Julie Moore of Koorimunication. The workshop is a full day and has been scheduled for Tuesday 11 October 2022 (catering provided).
The Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Education Program aims to provide participants the opportunity to take part in an interactive learning program based around Aboriginal cultures and history. The day includes topics such as past and present history, past policies and practices that have impacted upon Aboriginal peoples, cultural competence, engagement, and protocols, and building respectful relationships.
We envisage participants will leave with:
- greater level of confidence in their capacity to effectively engage with both their Aboriginal colleagues and the broader Aboriginal community; and
- practical tips and information to apply within their workplace on a day-to-day basis.
