CommsNet: A forum for learning, supporting and sharing. Facilitated by the ACT Council of Social Service (ACTCOSS)
Are you working in or interested in communications in the ACT not-for-profit sector? Looking to connect with others in your field, share knowledge and learn from each other?
Come along to our monthly CommsNet meetups. Here you can chat, share your work and current challenges, and discuss comms topics such as strategy, member engagement, social media, ICT, branding and more.
Topics for the meetups:
- All things COVID-19: These are unprecedented times, with physical distancing challenging many of us to work and provide our services differently. Have you changed the way you work? How are you communicating with your service users in light of COVID-19? How are you collaborating with your team? What are your challenges? Do you have any learnings you want to share? Any specific topics you’d like to explore with the group?
- CommsNet Trello Board (requires Trello invitation to access – please contact [email protected] if you’d like to join) – How are we going with the board? Do you have any tips or ideas about how we can best use it?
- Do you have anything else you’d like to chat about? Add the item to the Trello card checklist (you’ll need to be signed in to the Trello board), or email [email protected] to add it to this or future agendas. Or bring your ideas along on the day and we’ll see if we can fit the discussion in.
We encourage you to bring along your questions, tricks and tips, examples of your work, guidelines for best practice, and so on. If you don’t have any experience with the topics, that’s ok! Everyone is welcome to participate in the discussions and learn from each other.
The agenda is flexible and directed by the group, so you are welcome to suggest topics of discussion for this or future meetups. If you have particular experience or area of expertise you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you.
