Yeddung Mura means ‘good pathways’ in Ngunnawal language. Yeddung Mura was initially started to address a number of gaps identified by Aboriginal elders in the community. It is a grassroots organisation that works directly in the community to meet the needs of Aboriginal people. Yeddung Mura has been delivering Aboriginal services since 2008 and delivering Aboriginal prison services since 2014. Their goal is to build strong families and strong communities. Their guiding principle is ‘Everyone deserves another chance’. Ultimately, their aim is to bring about positive change in the lives of our clients by instilling a greater sense of purpose and value in them.

Yeddung Mura (meaning 'good pathways' in Ngunnawal language) is a grassroots organisation that works directly in the community to meet the needs of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. Their Throughcare Support program works in collaboration with the ACT Corrective Services Throughcare Unit to provide individualised and intensive case managed and trauma informed support, in order to work together with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander men and women exiting the Alexander Maconochie Centre following a custodial sentence.
