Cultural Awareness on Country Tour with Richie Allan - 31 May 2019

This is a new training venture. Richie Allan, Ngunnawal Lore Keeper, will provide a Cultural Awareness on Country Tour to give participants some hands-on experience while providing valuable local understanding and appreciation of the Ngunnawal land on which we all live and work on.

To understand cultural awareness is to understand the history of the Aboriginal cultures.

This cultural awareness program will give you:

  • Aboriginal history

  • Spirituality

  • Ngunnawal songlines

  • Ngunnawal Dreaming stories

  • Cultural connection

  • Cultural protocols

  • Cultural diversity

  • Cultural relationship building.

You will visit the Ghubar dhaara Ochre Pit, the Ngunnawal Songline, Mulligans Flat, a Stone Tool Site and the Scar Tree sites.

 

*No prerequisites needed

NB: Participants must attend the full day, and arrive at 9am sharp to depart at 9.30am.
