There are 3 spots available for this two-day Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural competency workshop for family and community services. SNAICC developed this training in partnership with Family Relationships Services Australia (FRSA), to support family and relationship services work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and children. The program is based on their popular 'Working and Walking Together' resource. Each participant will receive a copy of this resource.
This workshop is designed for:
Agencies and services wanting to gain cultural knowledge for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Individuals who want to increase their knowledge on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and their diversity.
Organisations wanting to increase cultural appropriateness of their service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and communities.
FYI: This workshop was sheduled for 19&20 March 2018, but is now postponed to 21&22 May 2018.
Day 1: Monday 21 May 2018, 9:00am - 4:30pm
Day 2: Tuesday 22 May 2018, 9:00am - 4:30pm
Participants must attend both days of the workshop. There will be no admittance to the workshop on the second day if you have not completed the first day.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea provided.
