As the peak representative body for not-for-profit community organisations in the ACT, ACTCOSS aims to improve knowledge of the community sector’s organisational, workforce and financial characteristics, and community service experiences of the policy and operational environment. ACTCOSS also aims to raise awareness of issues and challenges affecting community service quality and capacity, and to highlight the contributions the sector makes to the ACT community and our economy.
The Australian Community Sector Survey is the longest running survey of the community sector, and is run by the community sector. It examines changes in the operating environment of community organisations, major issues of concern for these organisations, and looks at how the sector is responding to community need.
