Transport

Transport is vital in allowing people to access community amenities, social activities, services, education and work. Access to transport is one of the social determinants of health and is essential to people being able to exercise their human rights.

ACTCOSS advocates for a flexible and responsive transport system that addresses the barriers that specific groups, such as young people, older people, people living with disability, parents with young children and/or people who do not own a car, face in accessing community amenities, social activities, services, education and work.

ACTCOSS’ vision is for a city where ACT residents of any age or circumstances can access affordable transport of a frequency and availability that supports social and economic inclusion.
