The Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Association (ATODA), the ACT Council of Social Service (ACTCOSS) and the Mental Health Community Coalition ACT (MHCC ACT) welcome the opportunity to provide joint submission on the Senate Standing Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs Inquiry into the value of a justice reinvestment approach to criminal justice in Australia.
This submission seeks to comment on the areas of the Inquiry that we believe are most important in any discussion about developing and implementing a justice reinvestment approach in Australia, and particularly the ACT.
