The recent Bradley report recommended an amalgamation of the University of Canberra and Canberra Institute of Technology to form a dual sector University. When responding to this report the ACT Government is urged to consider:
- accessibility and affordability, particularly for people experiencing disadvantage
- maintaining literacy programs as a priority area
- the workforce development needs of the community sector, which is a significant area of growth requiring an appropriately skilled workforce.
