Relationships Australia Canberra and Region (RACR) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to enhancing relationships within families and communities to support healthy, respectful relationships and personal and social wellbeing. RACR delivers services such as counselling, mediation, casework, mental health and specialist family and domestic violence programs for families, couples and individuals to communities. RACR is a part of a national federation of Relationships Australia Organisation across the country. RACR provides services in the Riverina/Murray and South Coast areas of NSW and in the ACT.

About the Role

The Policy, Research and Evaluation Manager has a pivotal role in ensuring Relationships Australia Canberra and Region (RACR) policies and procedures support the organisation to deliver high quality services, meet the organisation’s strategic aims, requirements of external accrediting bodies and comply with funding agreements. The Policy, Research and Evaluation Manager is also responsible for designing, advising on, and implementing the internal evaluation framework for major Commonwealth and State government programs (currently around 40) and managing and developing our program of research.

This is a fulltime ongoing position, based in Deakin, ACT.

To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:

  1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in social science or other equivalent tertiary research and/or policy qualifications.
  2. Demonstrated experience in strategic and operational policy development, research and/or evaluation management.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Experience in managing a small team under strict deadlines with competing priorities.

Salary & Benefits

The salary on offer is in the range of $97,918.49 to $103,259.16 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.

According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
