Building Better Boards: The ACTCOSS Governance Workshop Program Over Two Sessions - 24 Feb 2020

ACTCOSS Governance workshops are designed to meet the needs of people interested in, or who have recently been, appointed to a board member position with a not-for-profit organisation in the ACT. This training targets people who have never been on a board or who have limited experience on boards. The workshops are interactive with participants contributing their own experiences and sharing knowledge, as well as a networking opportunity.

The Governance workshop will be broken into two parts – the morning session focuses on board governance and strategy and the afternoon session focusses on financial management. Workbooks and resources will be provided to participants at both sessions. Participants are welcome to come to either session, or the whole day - but will need to register accordingly.

Workforce Data and Community Needs Analysis - Attachment D

In this Attachment D, it sets out a proposal for a future research tool for the ACT Community Services Industry snapshot. The purpose of the snapshot is to capture information about the current state of the ACT Community Services Industry workforce, set trajectories, and measure progress against Industry wide goals and plans such as the ACT Community Services Industry Strategy 2016-2026.  It also includes draft questionnaires to help capture this snapshot tailored for organisations, paid individuals, and volunteers.

Workforce Data and Community Needs Analysis - Attachment A - Appendix 1, 2, 3

In this Attachment A - Appendix 1, 2, and 3, a more comprehensive assessment of the needs of three target groups is presented. These cohorts: children, young people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have been selected as groups that could benefit greatly from early support. At the end of each appendix, we highlight a summary of opportunities where the ACT Community Services Industry could improve outcomes for target group.
